We’ve been a key partner to the team at Islington Square – an exciting development in Central London – with their continued evolution. Alongside white boxing the retail units to an extremely high standard, AMD has created several store environments for their tenants, including Anthropologie, Homeboy (coming soon) and White Swan (coming soon).
Residency is the latest venture from AMD’s founder, Andrew Martin. Set within Islington Square, Residency is a digitally branded pop-up shop space created to bring exciting independent brands to the high street. Find out more here.
We are delighted to have worked with Fred Perry on their brand activation meets pop-up event space in Saudi Arabia’s vibrant capital, Riyadh, which was designed to offer a new home for the region’s fresh, dynamic talent.
Although a well-established brand in the US, fashion retailer Anthropologie wanted to think outside the box when it came to creating store experiences in the UK. Responding to this, AMD designed and built seven bespoke environments across the country, including a striking project in Cheltenham , which is housed within an impressive 19th century building.
We were delighted to work with John Smedley on their second stand-alone store. Located on Jermyn Street (an iconic spot for menswear) our brief was to tell the story of the brand, showcasing their impressive design roots as references.
Launched in 1851, British fashion brand Aquascutum is praised for their innovation and practicality. Our design for their store Great Marlborough Street celebrates the brands rich heritage whilst introducing modern and contemporary elements to resonate with the contemporary shopper.
Once a key fixture on the King’s Road, Founder Andrew Martin describes his concept for ‘The Shop at Bluebird’ as a personal expression of everything the best store in London should be. Based in an iconic art-deco building, the space was ever-changing, meaning brands could tell stories and connect with the shopper in new and innovative ways.
As longstanding clients and good friends, we’ve collaborated with The New craftsmen on several innovative projects, including installations in Selfridges and Holkham Hall. In both these case studies, we’ve been asked to highlight the work of the makers through concept, store flow, materials, and lighting.
We’ve worked with White Stuff on store environments across the UK & Europe. Most notably, designing their largest and most ambitious store to date in Edinburgh – ‘The Emporium’. Set within a listed old department store totalling 10,000 sq ft of space, our famous Narnia inspired changing rooms were featured on Mary Portas’s TV show, ‘Mary Queen of Shops’.
Having been Head of Store Design at Jigsaw prior to launching AMD, founder Andrew Martin has played an instrumental role in Jigsaw’s store aesthetic for more than 20 years. From flagship stores to smaller boutique spaces, AMD has designed a host of Jigsaw environments so far, with 7 more being created in 2022.
