We were thrilled to work with Canada's biggest bookstore brand, Indigo, to re-design over 18,000 sq ft of retail space at their store in Ottawa's leading shopping destination, CF Rideau Centre.
Working within an existing shop-fit, our challenge was to create a new and exciting environment which felt inviting and inspiring within set parameters. Our approach was to take a fresh look from an outside viewpoint of what an Indigo store could be, endeavouring to create a brand experience that allows discovery, communication, inspiration and experience.
Using sustainable materials throughout, we revived the existing shell by simplifying the mouldings and installing new lighting and flooring - leaving a nod to tradition yet contrasting with new. Across all the dedicated zones in the store, we kept a simple and neutral background to allow for bold statements and theatrical moments where activation and storytelling can flourish.
